The members of national service scheme and red ribbon club of namthang senior secondary school under south Sikkim organised day long programme on the eve of international anti tobacco day. Mr gokul rai national youth awardees and bharat jyoti awardees was specially present as a chief guest of the programme. the programme was specially attended by Panchayat members of maneydanda,nagi,along with the principles,teachers,students,members of SMCand SMDC,local residents was specially present during the meeting.dr C L Pradhan and dr palmu rai medical officer of primary health centre namthang as a resource person specially highlighted in the subject of suicide rate control, drug abuse, side and negative effect of tobacco and smoking etc.an awareness rally was also organised by the students of the school taking play card ,banners in their hand written with various slogans regarding international no tobacco day from school to namthang bazaar .
