Due to the disturbance occurred in the electricity transformer in Rangpo Darjeeling area more than 300 households are totally dark from 15 days .the area falls under Sikkim –west Bengal border is seen as sensitive area and also too much hot climate. This time the half yearly examination is also going on. How much the students are suffering everyone feels. Before two month ago also the type of problems was created and that time the transformer was repaired with the support of donations from the households of the area. The transformer repairing responsibility is falls under the west Bengal state electricity board. Today the group of local residents has met with the assistant engineer of the board and after listening the problem assistant engineer has assured to take positive response within a week. But it’s a too strange that for the repair of transformer the local residents has to collect donation. The west Bengal state electric board is known as the better service but how much good service is giving and providing it’s cleared. By seeing the area importance its mandatory to start the repair works immedeatly.in this 21st century also the repair of transformer not possible in 20days is shameful for the board.
