Lanco foundation the social welfare cell of lanco infratac has organised the day long free eye check up camp at tokal barmaik under timi namphing constituency yesterday. The camp inaugurated by Mr. D R Khatiwada was specially attended by Mr. T K Sarkar general manager lanco, Mrs. madhu tamang Panchayat president,mr bikash pradhan Panchayat secretary,mrs kakom bhutia asha members along with 200 asha members, was specially present during the programme. The eye specialist from singtam district hospital dr karma lodhey and team has checked 200 eye patients from the surrounding areas. Pema bhutia and ram jiwan tamang coordinator of lanco foundation talking to this correspondent asked that the medicines and spectacles required for the eye patients is provided free of cost by lanco foundation. Several patients was found with cataract shall operated at singtam district hospital in the middle of September .the expense of operation shall totally bear by the lanco.first time the eye check up camp was organised at that area and the local residents has given special thanks to the lanco foundation for organising such type of health camp in the area.himalayan education society has also givan special thanks to the company for availing facility to the village residents.
