In the market of Sikkim also wax coated apple is selling freely .this correspondent has visited many fruit stall from Gangtok ,to Singtam and Rangpo and found that maximum stalls is decorated with wax coated apples and carbide used mangoes.yesturday only at kalimpong area the municipality has taken the action for those who was selling such type of apples and mangoes and many national media has also flash the news regarding ot to eat such type of apple and mangoes as its mot suitable for human health. when this correspondent has discuss the matter with the shopkeepers and dealers of fruits they clarify that they don’t know about the fact and not done any type of mix or coating ,they has purchased such fruits from markets of siliguri.in other side this correspondents has contacted with one vendors of siliguri found that this time specially there is no season of apple and is coming to India from out of country.regurding mangoes he asked that putting carbide is their compelsion.the mangoes came from outside siliguri is not in position to eat and for making possibility of eating of mangoes they put the carbide .regarding the matter this correspondent has contacted with some doctors and experts too. They asked that eating fruits is good for health. But from some year it is seen that polish fruits and carbide used fruits are in the market and eating of such type of fruits shall totally affect the health of human beings. In other side it is also seen that fruits produce in Sikkim state is totally untouched from such type of unhygienic things and concerned authorities must aware general public to consume the fruits the fruits and vegetables which is not manipulate by the shopkeepers.
