SPECIAL OLYAMPIC AWARDEE WELCOMED AT RANGPO SIKKIM

MANISH DHAKAL the awardees of international level special Olympics for disabled held at Greece was grand welcomed at Rangpo.spestic society of Sikkim, members of special Olympic for bharat ,local residents was specially present during the programme held at Rangpo tourism. Manish Dhakal (20) years, a multiple disabled competitor representing Sikkim was able to acquire 2 Silver and 1 bronze medal in “World Summer Games 2011” started from 24th June till 5th July at Athens, Greece. He has won the medal on the athletic named bocce. the Assistant Area Director of Special Olympic Bharat (SOB) Sikkim Chapter Mr. Narendra Chettri who accompanied Mr. Manish Dhakal the lone participant of Sikkim  in his small address asked that he  had never expected the result of Special Olympic Bharat will be so fruitful and the result comes beyond imagination. The World Summer Games 2011 was participated by a total of 254 participants from across the world for various events. Mr. Chettri added that, the battle was tough as the competition of our state representative was with other 254 players from across the world but the dedication and strong determination of Manish during the games has made the state of Sikkim proud as he was able to grab 2 silver and one bronze medal in three different category of event. today Mr. c p dhakal addressing the welcome programme specially congratulating the awardees  appealed all the Sikkim residents to  come forward  for the handicapped persons.dr  b p dhakal father of the awardees sharing the memories of Greece specially thanks the organising committee for making the  programme a grand history. till this year third time Sikkim handicapped player has make the history by making the best result in this Olympics. During the programme the previous two awardees named nirmal Dahal and jeewan misra was also present .Mr. jaslal pradhan arjun awardees from Sikkim has also congratulates the athletes.
