Lions club of Rangpo gateway of Sikkim organised a special interaction programme on the eve of international population day today. lion sanjay agarwal district chairperson of lions service in Sikkim starting the interaction programme highlighted regarding the international population day.mr agarwal giving short speech asked that in 1989 when the population of world was five billion the first WID was organised and after 20 years the population raise up to seven billion is serious by seeing in all sectors. Due to the raise in the population many type of problems is created in normal life .lion bikash Prasad secretary of the club participating in the programme asked that all the problem m main reason is over population .the cause behind all type of pollution, shortage of food grains,water,globle warming, environment pollution is caused mainly due to the overpopulation. Lion chabilal Sharma president of the club concluding the programme asked that population control shall provide better development in the country and for controlling overcrowd and population awareness is most complosory.lion k t wangchuk also participated in the programme asked that over population control is a serious issue and everyone has to think and also asked that unity is needed for completing the mission and programme. four new member was inducted by the club president in the programme
