Food &civil supplies& consumer affairs department has issued the new notification of rate of lpg gas in Sikkim. According to the notification no 309/fcs7ca/11(33)FCS the retail price of domestic lpg cylinder is fixed at rs 420/-per cylinder for the distance within the distributer godown.from 10-25 km the rate is fixed at rs 425/-per cylinder, from 25-40 km its rs 430/-per cylinder and above 40 km its rs 445/-per cylinder. According to the notification any person/dealer found contravening this rate or order shall be prosecuted under the essential commodities act 1955 and prevention of black marketing and maintaince of supplies of essential commodities act 1980.in other side it is come to know that Sikkim rti forum has received lot of complaints from entire state regarding taking excess rate from the consumer and the forum has decided to take initiatives in favour of consumer of the state.
