Lions club of Rangpo gateway of Sikkim new office bearers oath ceremony cum international doctor day was celebrated at Rangpo by Rangpo lions at Rangpo. Between the special presence of lion Manish Gautam vice district governor of lions club international 322f as a chief guest lion h p kharel zone chairman, lion sanjay agarwal district chairman lions service in Sikkim, lion pawan Kumar agarwal DC food grain, lion ramesh Kumar president lions club of siliguri green valley along with the delegates from lions club of Singtam and ranipool was present as a special guest of the programme. programme conducted by lion bikash Prasad 2011-12 secretary the new board committee members oath was organised under the guidance of clubs VDG.16 new member added in the club in this day makes the club more strength and strong. Between welcome speech given by lion devanand agarwal, past president lion sanjay agarwal produced the project report and social work report done in his tenure i.e. 2010-11.mr agarwal requested the new committee members to complete the pending works of his tenure. Lion chabilal Sharma new president of the club presenting the future agenda appealed all club members to support whole heartedly for making the programme and his tenure a unique one. in this three hour long programme ketan mangla Rangpo recited the Hindi poem while Himalayan idol runners up sonam bhutia performed several Hindi and nepali songs was appreciated by everyone’dr s n sanhal and dr sanjiv dutta from Sikkim manipal institute of medical science,dr d p kharel ex director of health department Sikkim government,dr a h khan running private clinic at Singtam,dr upasana gurung medical in charge of Rangpo primary health centre and dr ritesh chettri medical officer Rangpo PHC was felicited with awarding with mementoes and khada by the hand of chief guest VDG lion gautom.in this memorial day the Sikkim state topper of class ten cbse board from mining secondary school residence of khanikhola Majhitar named Krishna chettri was also felicitated. Chief Guest lion manish gautam addressing the programme specially highlighted the clubs status and work culture. This time the club is expend in 206 countries with 1.5 crore members and is the largest and totally transparent ngo in the world. in north Bengal and Sikkim 73 clubs with 2500 members are giving their service .in the addressing the VDG appreciating the Rangpo club performance thanks and congratulate to the Rangpo club members for unique work and community service programme in the area.
