Rangpo secondary school has organised a fabulous programme on the eve of world environment day at the school complex. Quiz competition regarding environment preservation n and tree plantation was the main attraction of the day long programme. The programme attended by the members of school managing committee, members of Rangpo nagar panchayats,headmistress,teachers and student of the school a grand environment awareness rally was organised at Rangpo. Rally taking play card in the hand of students the rally was started from IBM and was ended at the same area moving via Rangpo upper bazaar and lower bazaar. According to Mrs. mala jigdal dorjee headmistress of the school in order to add international dimension to the curriculum and help connect the students to the rest of the world Rangpo secondary school has been chosen along with seven other schools of east Sikkim in the project connecting classroom by British council England this school has been tied up with holy name catholic primary school Liverpool in uk.on this auspicious occasion the students of Rangpo secondary school has organised the awareness rally along with planted seeds of plant sent by the students of Liverpool school and the sapling provided by Rangpo forest department. In the same auspicious day the student of the partner school in the Liverpool shall also plant the seeds sent by the students of Rangpo secondary school. At the campus of their school. Such type of interrelationship between the two schools is too much appriciatable and also learns value diversity of culture.
