WORLD ENVIROMENT DAY AT BAHAI SCHOOL STUDENTS


On the occasion of WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY DNA club of BAHA’I SCHOOL, TADONG planted 300 saplings of varieties of plants. The club was formed in the school on 2nd of May 2011 comprising 45 students and two teachers. The main purpose of the DNA Club is to grow awareness about conservation of Natural resources among 
fellow students. From the date of their formation the club is actively working to fulfill their purpose.
On 6th of May 2011 the club invited Mrs. Usha Lachungpa a senior scientist from Forest Department to present a talk on the Environmental issue. She presented an enriching talk on the topic of Bio-Diversity.
The TREE PLANTION on the occasion of World Environment Day was their 2nd scheduled program. On 5th of May at sharp 8.00 am the member students proceeded towards plantation venue by School Bus. Their destination was Pachey in Pakyong. They were escorted by their two teachers Miss Jeena Subba and Mr. Samir Raj Pandey. First the prepared the field for plantation and then they planted systematically various saplings of plants with full enthusiasm and joyfully. There were no sign of fatigue and tiredness after planting all 300 saplings also. Some local people from Pakyong coordinated by Mr. K.N. Sharma of Pachey also helped them a lot in plantation work. The Principal Mrs. Rupa Pradhan congratulated all the members of the plantation for their successful program.
